Report Usage

This report comes in the form of a line chart report.

The user is able to see

It represents a created issues trend and resolved issues trend for the

choosen

chosen current period.

On the Y-axis user can see the number of issues. On the X-axis user can see the Start and End date.

Specific functionality:

  • On the report card, we can additionaly additionally add the average Unresolved trend line. It shows the difference trend between created and resolved tasks.

  • Lables Labels can be added and removed. While they are added the user can see the number of tasks created or resolved at certain moment. a certain period.

  • When hovering the label tooltip appears. It shows the selected date, and ratio of created issues to resolved issues on this day and by this day.

  • Under the name of the report, the user can see the number of Issues created and Issues resolved for chosen days.

  • To review all tickets Created or Resolved on a certain date, open a sub-table by clicking on a label.

  • Above the table user can see the name of the selected option, total number of issues, and a link to the issue navigator in Jira.

  • By clicking on the issue`s key, the user will be redirected to this issue directly.

  • The user is given the opportunity to sort all the columns and also change their sizes if necessary.

If the labels are positioned one above the other, clicking on them will display a pop-up with options.

Setting up a report

Report The report has 4 tabs of configurations: Data source, Parameters, Display, Description.

Data source

:

In this tab we can choose to get issues either by project, saved filter or JQL. Those are required fields.

Parameters:

In this tab user have to set up the number of “Roling days“ and “Period“. These field is required.

For example: Assignee, Issue type, Priorities, etc.

This report is called Created vs Resolved and on this report we are showing the number of issues that have been resolved(completed) compared to the number of issues that have been created over a period of time.

Image RemovedOn top of the Area Chart there is a select box, which lets the users select the period of time(90 days, 60days, 30days) to compare the issues. Next to the select box we have texts that show the user the number of created issues in red and the number of issue resolved in green.Image Removed

Hovering on the Area chart will display the current date and the number of issues created and the number of issues resolved on that specific date.

On the Y Axis we have the number of issues and on the X-axis we have the date that an issue is created or resolved.
Clicking on the Y-axis will redirect the user to the issues that have been created on that specific date.

Parameters

Allow users to tailor the report to their specific needs and preferences.

Rolling Days determines the timeframe for data display, indicating the number of most recent days shown in the report. Default value for this field is 30.

Period determines the time unit by which the data will be grouped and shown as labels on the line. The default value for this field is Days.

Display

Manage the visual appearance and presentation of the report, including the visibility of specific elements and the formatting of data.

In this tab, the user can enable/disable the function to show the unresolved trend line by using the Show unresolved trend toggle.

The Show label toggle enables/disables the dots that indicate a chosen period value. Thus, when this function is disabled, only a line should be displayed. By default, it is enabled.

Description

It serves as a space where users can provide context, explanations, and additional information about the report.

Description lets the user add any additional information no more than 500 characters about the created report.
The description will be presented directly on the report card above the chart (in case of its presence).
