Report Usage
This report comes in the form of a bar chart report. It can be used for SCRUM teams. It represents the workload of Jira users who have any workload for the chosen sprint. On the Y-axis user can see the numerical representation of the selected value and on the X-axis the user can see the names of Jira users.
Specific functionality:
On the report card user can switch Sprints. There is a dropdown that shows all Sprints related to the chosen board. Moreover, it shows active, future, and completed sprints. Additionally, you can choose Current Active Sprint, which will make the report dynamic. This option will always show Sprint with the status active.
At the top from the left side, there is the total value of every user compared to the sum of the capacity of each user.
The report contains the board name of the chosen one at the top. By clicking on it, you will be redirected to this board in Jira.
While hovering the bar, a tooltip appears. It shows capacity, assigned workload, available workload, and excessive workload. For cases when user didn`t specified capacity, the report will show only Assigned workload for users.
If the capacity is 0, it is not shown on the report. In this case, all bars are going to be the same color due to the hub color theme.
By clicking on the bar, the sub-table will be open. It shows all issues assigned to the chosen Jira user and related to the selected sprint. This table also contains the total number of issues for this user within selected configurations and a link to the list of these issues in Jira (View in issue navigator).
Setting up a report
The report has 4 tabs of configurations: Data source, Parameters, Subtable, Description.
Data source
Configure and manage the source of data for generating reports.
In this tab, the user has to choose a Sprint board and a Sprint from the chosen board.
Parameters
Allow users to tailor the report to their specific needs and preferences.
Workload type field is required. There are a few options:
Open issues: shows the number of open issues in the Sprint.
Story Point: shows the units for expressing an estimate of the overall effort required to resolve all issues in a Sprint.
Original Estimate: shows the estimated time that that Jira user has specified for the tasks in the Sprint.
Remaining Estimate: shows the time that is left to complete the tasks from the Sprint from the original estimate.
Issues assigned: shows the amount of issues assigned to Jira users in a chosen Sprint.
After choosing the Board this field will be automatically set, but you still can change it.
Sprint capacity sets the amount of work that each team member can commit to completing a sprint. By default, the value is 0. When the value is 0, it will not be shown in the report.
Subtable
This tab lets user manage the display of columns in a subtable by adding, removing, or rearranging them.
The Columns block gives a user the possibility to customize the sequence of columns and remove unnecessary ones to suit their preferences for a personalized view of data.
Custom fields is a multi-select field. It allows user to add additional fields to sub-table columns.
Description
It serves as a space where users can provide context, explanations, and additional information about the report.
Description lets the user add any additional information no more than 500 characters about the created report.
The description will be presented directly on the report card (in case of its presence).
